The Flappers' image consisted of drastic to some, shocking changes in women's clothing and hair. Many have tried to define flappers."In America, a flapper has always been a giddy, attractive and slightly unconventional young thing who, in [H. L.] Mencken's words, 'was a somewhat foolish girl, full of wild surmises and inclined to revolt against the precepts and admonitions of her elders.'" (Andrist, 130)

What the Roaring Twenties was like

Jazz was the music of the decade everybody doing the Charleton. Speakeasies were popular thing and they almost banned the use of alcohol. America was booming and it was the center of economical growth. Broadways and movies are good past times for the people and dressing to impress is what they love to do. America is starting to build it's own identity but still have some European influences.
